To review and edit all your widgets, access the Site Structure option in the top navigation menu of the CMS interface then click Widgets.

In the Widgets section:

Use the Search option located right above the list box to find widgets by name, module they are based on and/or status.

Use these buttons to:

 - order the widget list ascending or descending.

 - delete any widget.

 - trigger the detail section of any widget where you can edit all of its settings.

Tip
Use the auto-generated shortcodes from the list box to insert widgets throughout your website in any editable text field. To create a custom shortcode, learn more about the Shortcodes section.

Create a new widget and make it appear on a page

1. Click the Add New Record button located in the upper-right corner of the Widgets list box.

2. In the Add New Widget box, you must select the widget type from the dropdown list, then click the Next Step button to continue with the widget settings.

Tip
In the dropdown list, you will recognize the following format: Based on - Widget Type.

Based on is the place where the widget takes its data from to display on the frontend:

  • a page name you created (e.g., Blog Test) on an instance module
  • a global module name (e.g., Newsletters)
  • predefined Static Widgets
  • one of the Media Inserts (e.g., OWL Carousel)

3. After you give the widget a name in the Title field, complete the other required settings and click the Save button, the newly created widget will appear in the Widgets list box and in the Layout Widgets Editor of any layout.

Note
The widget name you have just entered in the Title field will be displayed on the frontend. For a new widget to appear on a page you must first add it to its layout; learn more about the Layouts section.
Important
If you have multiple pages created on the same module type, each Module Name is different and has its own set of widgets because they handle and display different pieces of content (not applicable to Static Widgets).
