Google Maps

To add and edit Google Maps on your pages, access the Media Inserts option in the top navigation menu of the CMS interface then click Google Maps.

Note

  • By default, a map is displayed above a page title background.
  • When applied to a specific page, you can set a map to hide the page title block (and its background).

Tip
Click on the tabs to access different settings areas. You can recognize which tab you are on by color association, e.g., if you click on the lime green tab, all the boxes located right beneath the tab bar will turn lime green.

The Google Maps tab

Use the Add New Record button located in the upper-right corner of the list box to add a new Google Map.

Use these buttons to:

 - order the map list ascending or descending.

 - delete any map.

 - trigger the detail section of any map where you can edit all of its settings.

Important

  • Maps applied to specific pages will overwrite any existing ones set for all pages.
  • If you have multiple maps and/or top sliders applied to the same specific page or to all pages, the system will randomly display only one of them on each reload.

Tip
Use the auto-generated shortcodes from the list box to insert maps throughout your website in any editable text field. To create a custom shortcode, learn more about the Shortcodes section.

The Widgets tab

Use the Add New Record button located in the upper-right corner of the list box to create a new Google Maps widget.

Note
You can find a step-by-step guide on how to create new widgets and make them appear on pages in the main Widgets section article; it makes no difference if you manage widgets here or there.
